Ledger in. Tax return out.
Quarter closes
At the end of each quarter, TAV computes revenue, expenses, and net profit from your ledger. VAT output minus VAT input gives you what you owe.
Review the numbers
See the breakdown: revenue per account, expenses by category, VAT due. Compare to the same quarter last year. Adjust nothing — the data comes from your books.
Export and file
Download the country-specific form as PDF or CSV. NL gets a BTW aangifte, US gets a Schedule C. Upload to your tax authority and mark the period as filed.
Country-specific
tax forms.
TAV knows your tax obligations. Dutch freelancers get a BTW aangifte with the correct rubrieken. German freelancers get a UStVA. US freelancers get a Schedule C with Part I (Income) and Part II (Expenses).
Every number on the export comes directly from your general ledger. No manual re-entry. No spreadsheet reconciliation. File with confidence.
Compute tax for any quarter or the full year. Each period shows revenue, expenses, net profit, and VAT or estimated tax owed.
NL: BTW Aangifte. DE: UStVA. FR: CA3. BE: BTW-aangifte. US: Schedule C. Each export uses the official format and terminology.
TAV shows the next filing deadline for your country with a day counter. Goes orange when under 14 days. Never miss a filing date again.
Export any period as a pre-filled PDF form or raw CSV. Hand it to your accountant or upload directly to the tax authority portal.
See how this quarter compares to the same quarter last year. Revenue growth, expense trends, and profit margin — at a glance.
Mark each period as open, filed, or paid. Track your filing date and payment reference. Full tax compliance history.
Tax computation reads directly from your general ledger. Revenue and VAT accounts provide every number.
Financial reports show the same data in chart form. Tax and reports share the same ledger source.
Reclaimable VAT from expenses reduces your VAT liability. Deductible expenses reduce taxable income.
Common questions
Which countries does TAV support for tax?
TAV supports the Netherlands (BTW Aangifte), Germany (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung), France (Déclaration de TVA / CA3), Belgium (BTW-aangifte), the United Kingdom (VAT Return), and the United States (Schedule C / Form 1040-ES). Each country gets the correct VAT rate, filing deadlines, and export format. Tax form names and terminology use the official local language.
How does VAT computation work?
TAV reads two accounts from your general ledger: VAT output (BTW af te dragen — the VAT you charged on invoices) and VAT input (BTW te vorderen — the VAT you paid on expenses). The difference is your VAT liability for the period. This is computed automatically from the ledger and appears on your quarterly tax card. Export as PDF to file with your tax authority.
How does US Schedule C work?
For US freelancers, TAV computes Schedule C from your ledger. Part I shows gross income from your revenue accounts. Part II shows expenses broken down by IRS category (advertising, car, insurance, office, supplies, etc.). Net profit flows to your 1040. Estimated tax is calculated at 25% of net profit for quarterly 1040-ES payments. Export as PDF or CSV.
When are filing deadlines?
TAV tracks official deadlines per country. NL: last day of the month after the quarter. DE: 10th of the month after. FR: 24th of the month after. BE: 25th of the month after. US: April 15, June 15, September 15, January 15. TAV shows a countdown — the card turns orange when you have less than 14 days left. All deadlines are verified against official tax authority sources.
Can TAV file my taxes automatically?
TAV computes and exports your tax data but does not file with tax authorities directly. You download the PDF or CSV and upload it to your country's tax portal (Mijn Belastingdienst, ELSTER, impots.gouv.fr, IRS.gov). This keeps you in control of the filing and avoids the regulatory complexity of automated filing across multiple countries. TAV gives you the data — you press submit.
