The problem

What developers deal with today

Time tracking is an afterthought
You reconstruct hours from git commits and calendar entries at month end. Half your billable time is guesswork.
Contracts are copy-pasted templates
You reuse the same Google Doc for every client. No signing, no versioning, no legal confidence.
Invoicing is manual busywork
You open a spreadsheet, calculate hours × rate, format a PDF, attach it to an email. Every single month.
Multiple clients, multiple spreadsheets
Each client has different rates, payment terms, and currencies. Keeping track across projects is a mess.
How TAV helps

One system for your entire workflow

Timer that feeds invoices

Start a timer when you start working. Stop when you're done. At month end, TAV converts all unbilled hours into invoice line items automatically.

Time tracking

Contracts with digital signing

Create a contract from your proposal terms. Client signs online. Both parties get a copy. Legally binding, version-tracked.

Contracts

Per-client rate management

Set different rates per client. TAV applies the correct rate when generating invoices. No manual calculation.

Automatic payment follow-up

Overdue invoices get professional reminders at 3, 7, and 14 days. You focus on code, not collections.

FAQ

Common questions

How does the timer work across devices?

TAV is a progressive web app. Start a timer on your phone at a client meeting, stop it on your laptop when you're back at your desk. Everything syncs instantly. The timer runs in the background while you switch apps. Install from your browser — no app store required.

Can I track time for multiple clients in one day?

Yes. Each timer session is tied to a specific client and project. Switch between clients throughout the day. TAV keeps entries separate and attributes them correctly when generating invoices. You can also log time manually if you prefer.

How do tracked hours become invoice line items?

Every timer session logs the client, duration, description, and your hourly rate. When you invoice, TAV pulls all unbilled entries for that client, converts them into line items showing date, hours, description, and amount. Review, adjust if needed, send. Entries are marked as billed so you never double-bill.

Does TAV handle retainer agreements?

Yes. Set up a recurring monthly amount for a client. TAV generates the invoice each month automatically. You can also combine retainer billing with hourly overage — fixed base plus tracked hours beyond the retainer scope.

Can I use TAV alongside my existing tools?

TAV handles the business side — proposals, contracts, time tracking, invoicing, payments. It does not replace your IDE, project management, or version control. Use TAV for the client-facing workflow and keep your dev tools as they are.
